STUDY ABROAD IN PARIS

THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME

There’s a whole world out there just waiting to be explored. Different cultures to taste and different languages to learn. While in college, find the opportunity to study abroad to immerse yourself in a different scene from the ordinary world to discover and experience other worlds other people live in. Studying abroad is also a chance to learn more about yourself that you didn't know before. I was given the opportunity to study in Paris, France for an Ambassador Program through Wright State University, and I am so glad I made the choice. Paris is a city full of rich history that will marvel your imagination and spark your dreams. The fancy cuisine of Paris will set the standards of fine dining of everywhere else you'll go. The sights and sounds are breathtaking and will make you fall in love. The city of Paris will blow your mind!

STUDY ABROAD TEAM

(AMBASSADOR PROGRAM) FRANCE: 2000 YEARS OF HISTORY, CULTURE AND CULINARY DELIGHTS

Wright State University was hosting an information fair on campus. I happened to stop by the international studies booth and they were advertising their study abroad programs. There were so many countries presented on their brochures, but France caught my attention. This program, in particular, was going to study abroad in the city of Paris! The TEAM of directors for this program were Mme. Pascale Abadie & Mme. Kirsten Halling; along with our aide Mme. Karine Ould-Daddah. The program was sponsored by the UCIE office on campus. This was offered in the summer for a total of three weeks (Bordeaux & Paris) or two weeks (Paris only). I decided to go to Paris only for two weeks. We wrote notes and recorded daily journals to study the History of France while enjoying the French culture all around us.

HÔTEL IBIS

Located on the 14e Arrondisement, Hôtel Ibis is where we Lodged during our study abroad. Hôtel Ibis is south of the île de Paris. It falls in between two nearby Metro stops for Ligne 13 Pernéty & Ligne 4 Mouton-Duvernet. We had an excellent stay at Hôtel Ibis and were welcomed so warmly. Although it was smaller than I imagined, it was enough to be a comfortable stay in the city of Paris. I found it easy to navigate around the city and make it back to my room with no problems. It was the best location to make my initial discovery of Paris.
